Our foreign-currency debit card was blocked twice this quarter while paying a US cloud provider. Each time the bank asked for a fresh NTS and a certified invoice, and the payment failed in the meantime for a $4,800 invoice. Is anyone else hitting this under the new EMI/FCY guidance, and has anyone found a bank-level process that actually works for recurring cloud SaaS charges?
Same pattern on our side. What we ended up doing is pre-clearing the vendor with the bank as a standing foreign payment so it stops triggering the AML block each cycle. Clunky but it has stopped the failures. Would be great if SBP let an exporter whitelist a set of known SaaS vendors once.
